Matthew R. Wilson is a professional theatre artist, scholar, and teacher who works in a variety of dramatic disciplines.  He is an actor for screen and stage, a theatrical director, a fight director, an expert in Commedia dell’Arte, a theatrical movement specialist, and an accomplished teacher.

Based in Washington, DC, Matt is Founding Artistic Director of Faction of Fools, DC’s Commedia dell’Arte theatre company.  He holds an MFA in Classical Acting and is pursuing a PhD in Renaissance Theatre History. He is also a proud member of the Actors’ Equity Association, Screen Actors’ Guild, American Federation of TV & Radio Artists, Society of American Fight Directors, and Association of Theatre Movement Educators.
