An accomplished stage director, Matt has worked in styles ranging from contemporary to classical, dramatic to comedic. He is also a proud member of the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society (SDC).

Recent directing projects include Troilus & Cressida
at The Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center, The Lieutenant of Inishmore (which also earned him a Helen Hayes Award nomination for Outstanding Fight Choreography) for Constellation Theatre Company, Much Ado about Nothing at Chesapeake Shakespeare Company, and Faction of Fools’ critically-acclaimed Our Town, as well as Ole Miss Theatre’s production of Chicago: The Musical.

Matt is a seven-time Helen Hayes Award-nominee, including three nominations for the Charles MacArthur Award for Outstanding New Play: Moliere’s Don Juan
, A Commedia Christmas Carol, and dog & pony’s Beertown. His critically-acclaimed A Commedia Romeo & Juliet is now touring schools and theatres across the U.S.
